Above ground pools for dummies (part VI): Conclusion

In this post, I provide the information about the above ground pools resources I found useful. I will also publish updates after I use the pool for a while.

UPDATES

After using the pools for two seasons, I can say that it met (if not exceeded) my modest expectations. Unlike my kids for whom I originally decided to get the pool, but who lose interest in it after using it a few times in summer, I enjoy using the pool all the way to the late fall.IO also like that I can disassemble and store it for winter, so I do not have to maintain water for six months or so.

RESOURCES

Here is the list of the resources that I found useful when I was looking for information about above ground pools:

  • Trouble Free Pool (TFP): The most comprehensive site where all new above ground pool owners should visit. Start with the Pool School: it covers all the basic areas such as construction, maintenance, equipment, and more. If you have questions, you can post them at the forum.
  • Above Ground Pools Know It All: Some good advice and articles their.
  • INYOpools: It's an online retailer, but you can find many useful how-tos and other articles there.
  • Above Ground Swimming Pools Group: A Facebook group with over 750,000 members (it may feel like the group is mostly about posting photos of boobs, but you can find meaningful conversations there as well).
  • Leslie's Pool Supplies: Use to register, join the perks program, and find a nearby store.
